The winners of the 2017 Will Eisner Graphic Novel Grants for Libraries have been announced and will be honored at the 2017 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. Funded by the Will and Ann Eisner Family Foundation and sponsored by Diamond Book Distributors, the 2017 winners are The Colorado State Library of Denver, Colorado and the Institute of American Indian Arts of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The History Channel has announced their plans for a tv adaptation of the best-selling graphic novel by Max Brooks, The Harlem Hellfighters. The TV adaptation will be a six-hour series that finds the 369th unit breaking down racial barriers, spending more time in combat than any other American unit and never losing ground to the enemy.
